Engaged Storytelling

What is Engaged Storytelling?

Our Engaged Storytelling workshop discusses how best to present a story in a digital format by investigating three universal principles of storytelling: audience connection, showing vs. telling, and story structure. The session covers all three principles in-depth, and how they relate to each other, with plenty of examples and information to back them up.

The workshop also includes short, interactive breakout periods, where students will begin thinking about the stories they want to tell, and which medium is most appropriate for their story.

Four Featured Mediums

  • Video (iMovie or Premiere Rush)
  • Webpage (Spark)
  • Presentation (One Button Studio)
  • Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
