In Maggie Condit-Summerson’s WMNST 106: Representing Women & Gender in Art, Literature, & Popular Cultures, 40 students, divided into 6 maker groups, designed individual quilt square digital collages. Using Adobe Photoshop, each student created an image that presented a picture of their life experiences. When combined, these squares represented the experiences of the entire class in textile.
Maker Commons then printed and heat pressed the designs using dye sublimation to create a “Stitch & Glitch” quilt collaborative art installation for their final project.
