One of the nice features of Adobe Portfolio is that you can switch between different themes with ease without effecting work that you’ve done on another theme. You can test out other layouts and if you decide you don’t like them, you can always go back to the first theme that you were working with. This tutorial shows how to change your theme once you’ve added some content to your site.

  1. Click on the Themes button that appears on the left hand panel near the top of the screen.

This option will be under the Essentials category.

Click Themes under Essentials.
This will bring you back to the page where you selected your theme when you started your site.

  1. Find the theme you want to use.
  2. Click the Use This Theme under the title.
Use This Theme button

Portfolio will then take all of the content that you added to your site so far move it to the new theme. It’s important that you look through the new theme thoroughly to see what changes were moved over with theme. As a general rule, your main content will transfer over, but the customizations you made to the other theme will not go transfer to the new theme.

If you decide later that you do not like your new theme, you can always go back to the old theme by clicking the Themes button and when you get to the theme selection page, you can go to the old theme and hit Continue Editing.

This will bring back the site as you had it before. This feature makes it really easy for you to experiment with different themes as you go.
