Tailgate 2011 Branding

The Media Commons is holding its third annual Tailgate event Saturday, November 5th in Foster Auditorium at Pattee Library, University Park. This event is free and open to all Penn State faculty and staff. There will be two pre-conference workshops on Friday, November 4th, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. The Media Commons Tailgate is a highly interactive, one-day event focused on exploring the possibilities for digital media in teaching and learning. This year’s theme will be “Envisioning Learning Spaces for Tomorrow’s Students” and attendees will have an opportunity to creatively explore the role of new media and gaming in our future classrooms. Like last year, this will be a fast-paced day including student and faculty panels, group brainstorming, and other sessions designed to engage the audience in conversation. Discussion will cover a range of issues from the technical to the pedagogical, and should offer something for you regardless of your background. Lunch and light refreshments throughout the day will be provided for all attendees. To find out moreabout the event and pre-conference workshop, visit: tailgate.tlt.psu.edu Once there, take a look at the schedule – and register now if you would like to reserve your spot!
