Media Commons 101 aims to get new and returning clients up to speed with what we can provide for your courses. Traveling Media Consultants, Carla Rapp & Nick Smerker will present an overview of the Media Commons, a look at what new technologies and services we have to offer and ideas, tips and information for building a media project into your classroom. The day’s agenda might look like this:

  • Cloud-based Video Authoring
  • Educational Gaming Commons
  • Preview of TLT Technologies: NBC Learn, Blogs @ PSU, VoiceThread
  • Building effective multimedia projects for your courses
  • Outlining best practices for faculty and staff to schedule campus consultants

12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch provided by Media Commons

1:30 – 3:00 – An afternoon session of your choosing
