Media Commons has created their first digital media facility created in partnership with a college. Located in 109 Agricultural Sciences and Industry Building and created in collaboration with the College of Agricultural Science, the facility features everything faculty, staff, and students need to create multimedia for courses.
Some of the features of the room include:
- Reservations availableThis facility is available for appointments with trained consultants, or can be reserved for class workshops when needed.
- End to end support There are areas in the room for planning, shooting, recording voice-overs, editing, sharing, publishing and for viewing with the group members.
- Movable studio space The studio space created is perfect for filming medium to close-up shots in front of the green screen. The walls of this space are movable and ready to accommodate groups of all sizes.
- Flexible furniture configurationAll tables and chairs are on wheels, allowing users to reconfigure the space based on their needs. The chairs come apart, and the stand part of the chair converts into a laptop desk that a student can use while seated on the chair part resting on the floor.
- Viewing areaA couch and 40″ LCD display provides a comfortable space for students to collaborate and share their work.
- Project with surround sound The projector has four ceiling mounted speakers which allow workshop participants to engage even further with the content.
- Sound boothsTwo sound-proof booths provide a space for high-quality audio recording.
