Spring semester is a really tough time to schedule events and, unfortunately, we are going to have to postpone “I Survived” until the early part of the Fall semester so it can get the turn out it really needs to be a success. Keep an eye out for an update this Summer!

I Survived Banner

Sub-zero temperatures.  Gale force winds.  Drifting snow and freezing rains.  A brave band of explorers endures the relentless onslaught in pursuit of the perfect shot.

The opening narration of a big budget documentary set in the Arctic?  No, just Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 at Penn State.

Despite seemingly impossible weather, a group of faculty and their students succeeded in creating excellent video projects using Media Commons this year. Hear their stories at “I Survived: Multimedia Projects in the Classroom.”

Join colleagues and friends at Penn State Harrisburg on Friday, May 16th for an informal, panel discussion about their classes.  You’ll hear about a variety of experiences, from first time projects to new takes on traditional assignments to explorations of emerging technologies.  Examples will be shown of student work so you can see exactly what’s possible with campus resources and Media Commons support.
