On Friday, January 9th, the Library at Penn State Mont Alto hosted an open house event for faculty that brought out thirteen attendees eager to learn more about resources for enhancing engagement in their classes this semester.

Things kicked off with a pizza lunch in the round and a presentation from Media Commons on “Building Engaging – & Academically Sound – Projects” which was followed up by a lively conversation with veterans at assigning media projects and those new to the process sharing ideas, tips and strategies.

Following the presentation, faculty had their choice of checking out the One Button Studio on the second floor, learning more about the new ScannX station (which is going to make a lot of lives easier this term!) and talking with librarians and Media Commons about scheduling resources for the semester ahead.

Big thanks to Lisa White, Tom Reinsfelder, Andrea Pritt and Jonathan Hindman for all of their help organizing and promoting this event – and to so many faculty for making it a success!
