This just in from our good friends at the New Kensington campus!  Hope to see you at this really useful, free faculty workshop.

Global Programs Workshops

On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, 1:50-3:00 PM, in 30 ITC we will host a training session on creating internationally focused multimedia research assignments. Nick Smerker, our Media Commons Consultant, will join us to talk about creating meaningful multimedia projects, and we will be focusing particularly on projects related to the Country of Focus. Examples of internationally focused multimedia projects will be shared, in addition to some hands on work. Refreshments will be served.

Since 2007, PSNK has chosen a Country of Focus. The program gives our students a glimpse into the culture and life of another country, through their academic course work and student activities. The program has been quite successful in expanding the global knowledge of our students. Providing our students with the opportunity to participate in multimedia assignments related to the Country of Focus will allow us to address multiple literacies essential for success.

Please feel free to contact the PSNK International Committee if you have questions. (Amy Rustic: aer123@psu.edu or Abhinav Aima: aka11@psu.edu).
